Nominations for Management Committee – 2018 *Amended

To Jets Members,

As our first Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for Monday the 16^th of April approaches, there are a few processes which need to be executed at the AGM

One of the processes is, to elect members, to the Committee of Management.

To do that, we seek nominations from members of the club, for the roles on the Committee of Management, (formerly referred to as Directors).

The roles which for which members can nominate for, are detailed in the Constitution, along with brief position descriptions, of the key roles.

The definition of a member, is a person who has paid their subscription (fees) to the Treasurer annually, on or before 1 July. For your reference, the definition is in the constitution, on pages iii and iv, and points 5 and 6, of the constitution.

In simple terms, you are classified a member of the ECU Jets Sports Club, if you paid your fees to the treasurer, on or before 1 July 2017, (the date has now changed, as stated in the paragraph below) unless otherwise directed and agreed to, by the Management Committee. The AGM references the Financial year just passed.

06/04/18 Update: Regarding the date to have paid fees to be classified a member, for this occasion only, the Management Committee has decided to extend the date for membership payments, to Sunday 8^th April 2018.

The constitution is available on the website, under the ‘About/Documentation and Constitution’ tabs, from the home page.

The guidelines relating to the nomination and election process, is available from the Constitution, on page v, point 10.

If you are interested in nominating for any of the roles, you need to:

Research the roles and descriptions in the constitution.
Access and fill in the nomination form, via the link here Nomination Form for Management Committee
Ensure you are nominated, by a fellow member of the club.
Fill in all the details required on the form.
Send the signed form via email to the Club secretary listed on the form.

All nomination forms must be received by the Club Secretary by 4pm, on Wednesday 11^th of April.
